Building a responsive list some about bikes

April 6,2014

1 You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry--now restore us! 2You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking. 3 You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. 4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow. "Selah" 5 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. 6 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth. 7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. 8 Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.9 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 10 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? 11 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. 12 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

Building a responsive list

If you are an Internet Marketer, it doesn't really matter what you sell, you really will need a list to be successful. I have seen the ads that say you can do XXX and make money without a list, without a website etc.  I have found those ads to almost always be misleading at best and often just outright lies.

In order to be successful in any business you must treat it like a business. To run an Internet Marketing business like a business you will need a few things. One is something of value a service a product or a report of some sort that you can give away freely but that the prospect sees as something of value. To a golfer that could be a report on how to take swings off his golf score. To a fitness buff, maybe a short report on how to get six pack abs without doing crunches. This is how you start what marketers call your sales funnel and how you build a list.

The first thing you will need with an Internet Marketing business is to decide how much money you are willing to invest each month, make yourself a budget. The smaller the budget the more time you will have to put in, and do NOT expect to be an overnight millionaire, that is not the way it works. Just like any business an Internet Marketing business takes time, effort and money to build. I would start out at not less than 100.00 per month. If you think about a conventional brick and mortar business, that would not even pay the light bill or phone bill, or half the rent in most cases.

The second thing you may need is a website, though many programs provide you with a site for their program, it would actually be better to have your own website and domain. name. I will go into why it is bettern anwhat a Domain etc is in a different article.

You will need an Autoresponder like GVO, Aweber, Getresponse or one of the many others out there. M and G has one now that you not only get the AR, but you also get leads to help you build your list. It does cost about 40.00 a month, but if you are budgeting 100.00 then you still have 60.00 left.  The there are free leads systems like this one . That way you can use more of the budget for other things like advertising.

So you have something of value now, either you have created like a report or a video and you start sharing it as people start looking at your video or reading your report which of course has your links in it they click on your link, a landing page comes up asking them to give you their email and name. If they do you have a new "subscriber" for your list. Congratulations you have just begun list building and now you have to make this subscriber know you, like you, and trust you. If he /she has a question, answer it. The more you let the customer know that you care about him/her the better the relationship and the more likely you will have a long term client and customer.

The important thing when building a list is to be consistent and to develop a relationship with your customers and prospects. I mentioned before in a blog that you should also "qualify" your list.  You will have your main list which will be you "evergreen" list, hope Mark Hendricks don't mind me borrowing that term from him. You could also have several other lists which would qualify them.  I used to do almost all fitness and health marketing so I had my evergreen list, then one for people interested in weight loss, and one for people interested in bodybuilding as well as another that had people interested in cycling. All these people were on my evergreen list and received something each week. When I had something special in one of the niches I would send that to the list for that niche. You can do the same with virtually any type of business. Today I have an evergreen list and about 8 other "niche" lists, one of which is a list of people interested in Marketing.

Bike Shop

I have an order of parts coming in in the morning with which I can repair 3 bikes and a small toy pedal car toy that needs a chain. I was able to get the motorbike ready to go Friday afternoon, but it is back in the shop now. It appears that someone borrowed it from the owner and tried to push it without holding the clutch in, not sure if something is broken in the engine or just came loose. I will have an engine mechanic take from MT Power Equipment look at it in the morning. If it can't be repaired the owner will have 2 choices, either remove the motor and use it as a bicycle or buy a new engine which is 95.00.

Don't forget about the Tour de Tifton/Ilse Boyette Memorial Bicycle Ride coming up April 12, 2014 in Tifton Georgia. Calkl the Tiftarea YMCA for more information on this wonderful event.

Have a great day
