Bike Shop
As many of you know I am not only a bicycle shop owner/bicycle mechanic I also do some Internet and Network Marketing in fact if I did not do Internet Marketing I would probably have to close up the bike shop. Moultrie is a small town and there just is not enough bicycle business to keep a full scale shop open. I enjoy the shop and I really enjoy the people coming in and telling me their bicycle problems. I enjoy being the one they come to with these questions and I usually have the answers. I also enjoy researching and finding the answers I don't know.
A couple weeks ago a man came into the shop with a pedal from a small John Deere Toy farm tractor. The Ertl Tractors do not use a bicycle pedal, but I was able to find a place that sells nothing but new and used toy tractor parts on the Internet. I gave the man the information and he was able to order the parts he needed to fix the John Deere for his grandson. I was happy to help the man and happy that his grandson would have a good toy.
Last weekend was the Tour de Tifton, and I provided SAG for the ride and provided the water bottles for the riders also. Of course the water bottles have our name on them and are advertising expense, but providing SAG was a great opportunity to network with cyclists from all over the area.
A friend from California introduced me to a program recently. This program helps people save on lots of products and services and even has a special service that helps save money on your taxes. If you think you would be interested in saving and making some extra money or possibly replacing your current job with a more secure income then this may be just what you have been looking for. This is not one of those "ground floor" opportunities where the company starts up, sounds great and then goes out of business before they pay anyone. This company has been around since 2010 and is financially sound. Watch the video by clicking here. If you feel like it may be for you that is great, if you don't then it is no big deal.
The one thing I do know though is that if you want to change things in your life you have to make the changes. You are the only one that can change your future and to do that you need to take action. so watch the video and make a decision or don't, it is totally your choice.
Bible Verse from Devotional
1 May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him. 2 As smoke is blown away by the wind, may you blow them away; as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God. 3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful. 4 Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds-- his name is the LORD-- and rejoice before him. 5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. 6 God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. 7 When you went out before your people, O God, when you marched through the wasteland, "Selah" 8 the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. 9 You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. 10 Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, O God, you provided for the poor.
Chiseled Faith
Several months back I became involved in a company called Chiseled Faith. This is a faith based fitness and health program. The program targets Christians and Christian Churches. It can be a fundraiser for the church and at the same time be a fitness and health program for the church members and supporters. At the current time I am the "Regional Relationship Director" for Chiseled Faith.
At one time I was a Certified Personal Trainer with the NAHF. That agency went out of business and I did not get re certified right away. Recently I have decided to get certified again and chose the Fitour certification since I could do it online.
There is now a small workout room at the bike shop where people can come to workout. If you take a chiseled faith course through us, using the workout area is included in the fee.
I guess that is all for today, have to go remove a bottom bracket from a bike at the shop so I can replace the bearings.
Have a great day

Building a responsive list some about bikes
April 6,2014
1 You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry--now restore us! 2You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking. 3 You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. 4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow. "Selah" 5 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. 6 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth. 7Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. 8 Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph." 9 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 10 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? 11 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. 12 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
Building a responsive list
If you are an Internet Marketer, it doesn't really matter what you sell, you really will need a list to be successful. I have seen the ads that say you can do XXX and make money without a list, without a website etc. I have found those ads to almost always be misleading at best and often just outright lies.
In order to be successful in any business you must treat it like a business. To run an Internet Marketing business like a business you will need a few things. One is something of value a service a product or a report of some sort that you can give away freely but that the prospect sees as something of value. To a golfer that could be a report on how to take swings off his golf score. To a fitness buff, maybe a short report on how to get six pack abs without doing crunches. This is how you start what marketers call your sales funnel and how you build a list.
The first thing you will need with an Internet Marketing business is to decide how much money you are willing to invest each month, make yourself a budget. The smaller the budget the more time you will have to put in, and do NOT expect to be an overnight millionaire, that is not the way it works. Just like any business an Internet Marketing business takes time, effort and money to build. I would start out at not less than 100.00 per month. If you think about a conventional brick and mortar business, that would not even pay the light bill or phone bill, or half the rent in most cases.
The second thing you may need is a website, though many programs provide you with a site for their program, it would actually be better to have your own website and domain. name. I will go into why it is bettern anwhat a Domain etc is in a different article.
You will need an Autoresponder like GVO, Aweber, Getresponse or one of the many others out there. M and G has one now that you not only get the AR, but you also get leads to help you build your list. It does cost about 40.00 a month, but if you are budgeting 100.00 then you still have 60.00 left. The there are free leads systems like this one . That way you can use more of the budget for other things like advertising.
So you have something of value now, either you have created like a report or a video and you start sharing it as people start looking at your video or reading your report which of course has your links in it they click on your link, a landing page comes up asking them to give you their email and name. If they do you have a new "subscriber" for your list. Congratulations you have just begun list building and now you have to make this subscriber know you, like you, and trust you. If he /she has a question, answer it. The more you let the customer know that you care about him/her the better the relationship and the more likely you will have a long term client and customer.
The important thing when building a list is to be consistent and to develop a relationship with your customers and prospects. I mentioned before in a blog that you should also "qualify" your list. You will have your main list which will be you "evergreen" list, hope Mark Hendricks don't mind me borrowing that term from him. You could also have several other lists which would qualify them. I used to do almost all fitness and health marketing so I had my evergreen list, then one for people interested in weight loss, and one for people interested in bodybuilding as well as another that had people interested in cycling. All these people were on my evergreen list and received something each week. When I had something special in one of the niches I would send that to the list for that niche. You can do the same with virtually any type of business. Today I have an evergreen list and about 8 other "niche" lists, one of which is a list of people interested in Marketing.
Bike Shop
I have an order of parts coming in in the morning with which I can repair 3 bikes and a small toy pedal car toy that needs a chain. I was able to get the motorbike ready to go Friday afternoon, but it is back in the shop now. It appears that someone borrowed it from the owner and tried to push it without holding the clutch in, not sure if something is broken in the engine or just came loose. I will have an engine mechanic take from MT Power Equipment look at it in the morning. If it can't be repaired the owner will have 2 choices, either remove the motor and use it as a bicycle or buy a new engine which is 95.00.
Don't forget about the Tour de Tifton/Ilse Boyette Memorial Bicycle Ride coming up April 12, 2014 in Tifton Georgia. Calkl the Tiftarea YMCA for more information on this wonderful event.

Building a List and the Couch to 40K
April 4, 2014,
1 Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me. 2 Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men. 3 See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD. 4 I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight! 5 O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. "Selah" 6 They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city. 7 See what they spew from their mouths-- they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, "Who can hear us?"
Couch to 40 K Bicycle Training Program
The Couch to 40 K Bicycle Training Program is a Small Groups Ministry of Heritage Church in Moultrie Georgia. I have provided this program for the past 4 years in Tifton and this year in Moultrie Georgia. Everyone is welcome to attend, you do not have to be a member of Heritage Church or any church for that matter. There will be some christian fellowship, prayer etc, so be aware of that.
We begin the ride at 3 PM on Sunday Afternoon and attempt to ride a little further each week until we have riders going 26 miles (about 40 KM) each session. Participation has been very good over the years, we have had numerous riders that started with us and have now purchased new bikes and become cyclists. Some of them are actually probably riding more than I do right now.
Most of the riders from previous years went on to participate in at least one Tour de Tifton/Ilse Boyette Memorial Ride. This year the TdT will be held April 12, 2014 and will start and end at the Hunt Park Campus of the Tiftarea YMCA. Come join us if you can.
Internet Marketing
If you have ever done any sort of Internet Marketing you have heard that "the Money is in the list" and for the most part I find that to be true. But I would also want to qualify that. I know that there is more money in a quality list of subscribers that know you, like you and trust you. You need to develop a relationship with the people on the list for it to be a profitable list. Just having a list of a lot of name and emails is not enough, it may be a start but if the you do not have a relationship with the people on that list you will very likely not make much money with the list. That is the list will not be as responsive.
So the question should be how do you get a responsive list? The answer is pretty simple, but it dose take time and most marketers are not willing to wait and do the work it takes or put in the effort.. There are many ways to build a list such as JV's or Article Marketing.
Probably the easiest way to start is to write an ebook or make a video with some valuable information that you are willing to share. If you play golf you may write an ebook or make a video on how to cut strokes off your golf game, then give it away and all the person on the receiving end does is give you their email and name, now you have a person on your list that knows who you are. If you have given good information for free, this person will also expect good products or services from you. If you meet that expectation then he will trust you and like you and is far more likely to buy from you in the future. Now you have a person on your list that knows you,. likes, and trusts you. You build your list one step and one client at a time.
It is not terribly hard work, but it is work and it takes effort and most people are not willing to put in that effort or learn to do these things and that is why 97% of Internet Marketers never make money.
Bike Shop stuff
With any luck at all I will be able to get that Motor Bike kit bike out of the shop today and be able to get some other work done. Have 2 bikes there that should be pretty easy once I can get to them.
Hope you all have a great day

A lttle marketing news and More about the Tour de Tifton
April 3, 2014

Bible Verse from Daily Devotional
1 Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge uprightly among men? 2 No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. 3 Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies. 4 Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, 5 that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be. 6 Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O LORD, the fangs of the lions! 7 Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted. 8 Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a stillborn child, may they not see the sun. 9 Before your pots can feel [the heat of] the thorns-- whether they be green or dry--the wicked will be swept away. 10 The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 Then men will say, "Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
Internet Marketing
I have been in Internet Marketing for a few years and have never really been what anyone would consider a "success" but that is changing. I expect to make far more this year in Internet Marketing than I have ever made at a job. You know what the letters in job stand for, right? JOB + Just over Broke, and most jobs provide just that, so starting and or expanding your own business is a way of surviving and thriving.
Over the past few years there have been quite a few changes in our life and a new found interest in Internet Marketing. I enjoy fixing bikes and running the bike shop, but in the small town of Moultrie Georgia, there is just not enough bike business to make a living doing that. I have had to take a part time job just to survive and that was after we had paid off all our credit cards, automobiles etc, so we only had a couple of student loan payments and the house payment which was pretty small.
Join me in one of the 2 Internet Marketing Programs that I am promoting and I will do all I can to help you become a successful marketer too. Here is the link to the program I expect will soon be making me as much or more money than my bike shop and my part time job.
Bike Shop.
Well I finally got the Motorized Bicycle kit all put together and on the test run the chain broke and when we tried to put it back on noticed it was bent pretty bad. It is not a normal chain so it took a while to locate a new one, but I found one and will put it on first thing in the morning. The engine tried to start before the chain gave us the problem, so I am expecting that once the new chain is on we should have a running motorized bicycle. The motor kit was purchased from ebay and the direction for the assembly of the motor etc are extremely poor. I guess they loose a lot in the translation between Chinese and English. Anyway we managed to figure out everything and hopefully tomorrow will be the last time I have to deal with this one.
There are also 2 other bikes that need repaired, 1 just needs a tire and tube, the other needs shifters and cables, so hopefully I can get them done tomorrow also. Actually while working on the "Motor Bike" today did sell two used bikes, a used 26" Free Spirit and a used Genesis bicycle, so not a bad day in all, just wish I could get that Motorbike finished and out of the store.
Tour de Tifton
If you are planning on being in Tifton Georgia on April 12, 2014 then do stop by the Hunt Park Campus of the Tiftarea YMCA for the 5th Annual Tour de Tifton/Ilse Boyette Memorial Bicycle Ride. The ride is a wonderful ride through beautiful countryside, and the money raised helps the underprivileged children at the Tiftarea YMCA. Great ride Great Cause, I will be there providing on route SAG for the ride.

Tour de Tifton and other bike stuff
April 2, 2014
Today is World Autism Awareness Day. Everyone wear blue or get a blue light to support the people with Autism. If you are interested here is a link to Autism Awareness. Many of the readers may not know that we are the proud parents of two children with Autism, Scot now 41 and Chris now 33, both will celebrate birthdays in August.
1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinnersor sit in the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Bike Shop Stuff.
I think I have the Gas Motor kit about finished, looks like just hooking up throttle and clutch and filling it up with gas. It would be a lot easier if the directions were reasonably decent but the directions are very poorly done, the company spent more money on printing the directions than they did on having them made so they could be understood. Since the people that make the engine are Chinese and English is their second language I am guessing that may be part of the problem.
Today with any luck I will get that bike finished and delivered. Have another bike sold that I have to deliver, a package that I have to get in the mail today and a Next bike that came in last evening that needs cables and shifters. At 5 PM I have to be at my "regular" job at Home Depot, I am working in Plumbing this week. That is not bad at all, I have a pretty decent base knowledge of plumbing and am learning a lot more as a lot of contractors and other D.I.Y folks come by and tell me about their projects and stories. I listen and learn a lot.
Tour de Tifton/Isle Boyette Memorial Bicycle Ride
April 12th is just around the corner and will mark the 5th annual Tour de Tifton Bicycle Ride.If you are anywhere near Tifton, Georgia come by and ride with us. I will be providing on route SAG for the ride, which means I will take some tools and some tires, tubes etc and head out after the riders leave and make sure everyone finishes the ride by either helping them with repairs,, water or Gatorade, or even giving them a ride if the just wear out. The rides range from an short 11 mile ride to a Metric Century 100 KM and a Full Century 100 Miles.
Along the route you will see some absolutely beautiful countryside, so do come by if you can and ride with us, here are some pictures of he route, enjoy.

Internet Marketing
Internet Marketing is something I have come to enjoy and have really began to develop in the last few months. I am planning to replace most of the income I had before and maybe even more with my participation in Internet Marketing and I believe I am on the right track. If you want to get out of "dead end" job or you want some real security then Internet Marketing may very well be for you too. Here is a program that you can join and promote and test, it is inexpensive and it will also help you promote other programs, if interested just click this link

A little Motivation and some news
April 1, 2014
1 Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me; 2 my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly. 3When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? 5 All day long they injure my cause; all their thoughts are against me for evil. 6 They stir up strife, they lurk; they watch my steps, as they have waited for my life. 7For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God! 8 You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? 9 Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, thatGod is for me. 10 In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise, 11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? 12 I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you. 13 For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Motivational Quote
Yesterday I was able to get 2 bikes done and managed to get all the cutting, drilling and such done to mount the engine on the cruiser bike. Hoping today I can get everything hooked up and running on that.
Expect to have it done by late this afternoon.
One thing I have found on the Gas Powered bike kits, the "instructions" are a little more than worthless. You can find some videos on youtube where people have tried to fill the gaps and some of them are decent, If I get anymore request for these to be put on I will double my pirce, but I will also make an instruction video of the entire procedure, even if I do pull the what little hair I have left out putting it together.
Also received a new Jet Black Magnetic trainer which is really nice, even came with a free wheel block. This will be invaluable in helping to "fit" people to their bikes. It can also be used with a regualr bike to use for training indoors when the weather is bad, so can work in the "gym" area.
We have not advertised the Gym much yet, but really want to start getting some people coming in there soon too. Interested in working out? drop by the store we charge 20.00 a month to use our facilities or 100.00 a year if paid in advance. Currently we have a Weight bench, a slant bench and a trainer that you can use your bike with, we have free weights and dumbells.
Back around 1998 I was certified as a Personal Trainer. I still would be but the agency went out of business, so now I am taking some refresher courses and will sit for another agency's test. I should be certifed within a coupple of months and will offer my services at the Gym for an additional fee of course.
Internet Marketing
There are a lot of good quality programs out on the Internet that can make you a lot of money, they have tremendous potential. One thing I have definietly learned though is that if you want to be a success in IM or virtually anything you must be focused and that is something I have struggled with many times over the years. I would get into a program, I would do OK then see something I thought was better and join that then the circle would start again. It was a rather vicious circle and caused me to lose a lot of money.
About 2 wekes ago I decided that I would take the advice of a man that had really made it in Internet Marketing and become more targeted, so I dropped all but two programs that I was promoting. Remarkably I only had one "complaint" from a sponsor. Most of my sponsors didn't even care and probably didn't even know aho I am. That was anothe think that sort of made me aggravated. I don't want someone to sponsor me in a program then just leave me to figure it out by myself. I want a sponsor that takes an interest in me, and I want to be a sponsor that takes an interest in the people that are in their downline.
I intend to be an active sponsor, and I intend to take an interest in the people I work with. No, I won't run your business for you, I won't build your downline for you. I will be there to help you though and I will take an interest in you and what you do, in how we can work together to make you profitable and make the journey enjoyable. So why not join me in one of the two programs I am promoting?
The first is a program that can be used to build any other program or can be used as a business all by itself here is a link to check it out.
The second program only costs 1.75 to join using paypal and has the potential to pay back close to 100,000.00. Here is a link to check this out.
Hope you enjoyed the blog post, please do leave comments and feel free to leave your url also.

Today at the bike shop and a little about Internet marketing
March 31, 2014
1 Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack. 2 My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride. 3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? 5 All day long they twist my words; they are always plotting to harm me. 6 They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, eager to take my life. 7 On no account let them escape;in your anger, O God, bring down the nations. 8 Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll-- are they not in your record? 9 Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. 10 In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise-- 11 in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? 12 I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you. 13 For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Bike Shop
As many of you that have read my other post know I operate a small bicycle shop here in Moultrie Georgia. I don't make much money but it is quite enjoyable and I get to meet a lot of wonderful people. I really enjoy helping people with their bikes and fitness problems. Today I know before I head out I have 3 bikes to hopefully finish today.
The first bike I will try to get done is one that came in about a month ago literally in pieces. That is the man brought the bike in with the frame in tact and the parts they had taken off the bike so they could paint the frame in a box. The chain had been broken into several small pieces, the rear derailleur was attached to the bike in the wrong place which kept the freewheel from moving at all and probably damaged it. The front derailleur had been left on the bike when it was painted and the paint had literally destroyed that. Anyway I had finished rebuilding it when the 7 speed freewheel went out on it so had to order a new one which should come in today. Once the freewheel is replaced that bike should be able to go home to its owner. Unfortunately the bike repair will cost him more than simply buying another bike from Wal Mart. The parts I put on are much better than the parts that came off, but still he has a department store bike, for another 100.00 he could have bought a good used bike that would have lasted him mnay years and then could resell it for almost what he paid for it.
The second bike is much simpler, an older road bike that came in with the tire literally rotting off of it, so a new set of tires and tubes made that bike better, but then the client decided he did not like the brakes where they were and wanted them moved up toward the middle of the bar. I tried to use used parts for that, but the type of brake handles I have in stock would not work, so had to order some CycloCross brake handles for him, they should be there today also.
The third is a unique project where we were trying to put a gas motor on a bicycle, basically turn it into a moped. The customer bought a kit off ebay and I am putting it on for him. The main problem so far has been that the kit was made for a bike that has 25MM tubes and a standard V frame. His bike is one of the "cruiser" type bikes with tubes that are over twice the size of standard bike (frame) tubes. I have had to manufacture parts to make it fit, and have made several trip[s to Home Depot, Fastenal and other places to get what I need to fabricate these parts. Anyway I think I now have all I need and can get down to getting it all mounted on the bike, then go get the fuel and oil and make a 16:1 mix that will operate in the engine for the first so many Kilometers then go to a 32:1 Mix which will be what is the regular mix after that. The first 2 bikes should be pretty simple and I should be able to get them done pretty quickly, then the rest of the day will probably be spent on the "motor" as we have started calling this bike.
If you are in Moultrie, do come by ans see me at the shop, will be there probably late tonight.
Business:
For those of you that may not know, I am sort of an Entrepreneur also and do some Internet Marketing. Recently I decided I was involved in too many IM programs and decided to cut down to just 2. I had been trying to promote as many as 7 at one time and that just did not work. I really had no problem with any of these programs, as they were all good programs, I just was spreading myself too thin and had to drop several of them. Here are the 2 I kept and why.
1. Feeder Matrix click here the program only costs 1.75 to start, and if you really need it, I would even be willing to pay the 1.75 for you to get started. Can't really beat that. I will also help promote your link as long as I know you are also promoting your link. The potential from your 1.75 is about 100,000.00 so why not look at that, low investment high potential. Of course there is some effort on your part too.
2. M and G Systems Click Here This is an Autroresponder, a first rate full function autoresponder, but unlike other ARs the company loads it with leads daily a minimum of 400 leads. You can download these leads and text them, call them or whatever. The program can help you promote any program on the net, or you can use it as a standalone business model. I am using it to promote itself and feeder matrix. Again there will be some effort on your part to make this program or any business opportunity work, so if you are not willing to put in some work, don't waste your time. Yes there is also a fee for this program but you will need an autoresponder for virtually any business opportunity on the web today, why not have one that also gives you leads?
Hope everyone has a great day,
